My Winter Beauty Favorites
Since I'm really loving my beauty routine right now I thought why not share it with you people out there. One of the first things I had to learn, since the winters do get quite cold here in Switzerland, is that the products I used during summer time didn't work for me anymore. I do have a mix between a dry and combination skin so as soon as it starts getting cold outside the first thing I do is changing my beauty routine to this one right below.
My eyes are pretty much my number one problem area. In the morning they're usually a bit puffy and I have some small wrinkles and dark shades. At the moment I'm really loving the Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye. I use it twice a day and it's a great base for my make-up.
Most of the time my skin feels rather tight after cleansing it and in winter it gets even worse. Since I'm a big fan of Louis Widmer I'm using a quite heavy day cream and my skin is loving it. It also gives a very nice glow to my skin and leaves it feeling moist the whole day.
Usually I don't like glittery kind of bronzers but over the last two months I have fallen in love with a quite light bronzer I found in Body Shop. It is very subtle but still makes your skin look glowing and healthy. Now because winter feels cold and dark quite often I love the illuminating effect of this bronzer.
Another thing I found in Body Shop is the Vitamin C Energising Face Mist. Not only does it smell amazing, it also feels so refreshing, wakes up your skin and fixes your make-up. Up until recently I haven't used anything like it to put over my make-up but I think I will continue to do so, I just looove the feeling of this mist.
At night time instead of a cream I'm using three drops of the Kiehl's "Midnight Recovery Concentrate" oil. My skin soaks it up really fast and I wake up with my skin feeling very soft and I also noticed that the pores on my forehead got smaller. So for me this one is my go to product for a healthy complexion right now.
Finally the last product I want to talk about is the Soy Lites, Travel-Lite "Home & body Aromatherapy Eco candle". Not only does it make your room smell amazing, you can also use the melted wax as oil on your body. I pretty much used it as a hand "cream" before going to bed. Another bonus with this candle, you can put the lid back on and take it with you everywhere you go. Since it's pretty small you can even fit it into your make-up bag.
I hope you enjoyed the read and let me know what your beauty hacks are during winter time.
